Sub-question: how much of the meaning of the NT is lost by most modern readers of the Bible because they don't realize that Christ's "choosing" and "election" is primarily of the CHURCH and secondly the individuals?

I agree, Ben. He has chosen His Bride, not just His Bride's fingernail. We cannot separate the Body of Christ from Christ.
